The consultation comes first

Care that starts with listening.

I come to your home, meet your pets and learn what makes an ordinary day feel right. There is no pressure to book before we both feel comfortable.

01

Come say hello

We meet in your home. You show me the routines, quirks, medications and boundaries that matter.

02

Build the care plan

Walk times, feeding details, house notes and emergency contacts become one clear, practical plan.

03

Make sure we click

Trust is mutual. We move forward only when you and your pets feel good about the arrangement.

04

Travel with a steadier mind

I stay present, follow the plan and share the updates you asked for while you are away.

Home hosting for dogs

When a home stay is not the right fit, dogs can stay in a sitter’s home: one family at a time, never a boarding setup.

  • Dogs only
  • One family at a time
  • A quieter home environment

Dedicated event care

Bring your dog
to the celebration.

Attending a wedding, gala or family event with your dog? I come to the hotel room, Airbnb or vacation rental and stay with them for the time you need. They get familiar care; you get to be present for the occasion.

Your home gets
looked after.

In-home pet sitting includes a thoughtful presence in your house. I keep an eye on the everyday details so your return feels like coming home, not catching up.

A lived-in presence

Lights, blinds and ordinary household rhythms can make an empty home feel less obviously empty.

Bins and small details

Trash and recycling can go out and come back in on the usual day.

Planned vendors

I can coordinate expected service visits and let you know if something needs your attention.

A note from Sharon

I know why
the wag matters.

Growing up, my family had a Standard Poodle named Trouble. He was expressive, joyful and always wagging his tail.

One summer, we boarded him while we went on vacation. The facility was beautiful, but when we picked him up, Trouble was quiet and his tail was not moving. There was no injury or pain. He was depressed. Eventually he came back to himself, but I never forgot what it looked like to watch a confident animal lose his sense of security.

That memory is part of why I built HomeStayPaws around familiar homes, steady routines and genuinely attentive care.

Good questions

A few practical answers.

See every FAQ
Do you care for cats?

Yes. Dogs are at the heart of the HomeStayPaws story, and cats are welcome for in-home care.

Is home hosting the same as boarding?

No. Home hosting is for dogs only, in a sitter’s home, one family at a time. It is intentionally a quieter home option, not a boarding facility.

Who is Red Cross Pet First Aid certified?

Sharon is American Red Cross Pet First Aid certified. The credential belongs to Sharon specifically.

How do we get started?

Start with a consultation. We meet in your home, talk through your pets and routine, and decide together whether the care plan feels right.
